Gurgling, rushing
Over mossy rocky, beds
Too busy for rest

Ripples break the clear
Crystal-like serenity
And then fade away…..

Casuarinas sway,
Their roots are searching,
Hidden water awards them

The roaring creature breaks free,
Wrecks all in its way
Destroys, then leaves

By Edie Bush

The peaceful sound as it flows,
Trickling as it goes,
Water has been soaked.

Water being pumped away,
River is disappearing,
River is gone.

By Ryan Holman

Clear water ripples
Carrying foliage down stream
Rushing between rocks

Soaked plants rippling by
Rushing water floods flora
Damp fluid drowns mossy stones

By Samara Slater

The wet cold water
Trickles as it goes
Between the plants, mossy stones.

Peaceful plants just sitting there The flood comes quickly Then bye bye they go.

The cold water trickles
Down the waterfall
The peaceful rivers

Crystal clear water
Carries pretty fish
Calm water settles shhh

Peaceful squawks flying
Above the river
If they dive in they’ll be soaked

By Sammy-Jo Shipman

Floating crystal blue
Through the rocky stones
Darting little fishes move

Poor little fishes
Through the muddy brown water
Dying as they go

By Matthew McDonald

The crystal fluid trickles
Rushing as it goes
Dripping swishing wet

The fast flood runs through
Splashing as it goes
Between wet mossy stones

Foliage flowing through the river
darting fish through the flora
damp wet flowing water

By Demi Randell

Crystal water flows
Mossy stones soaked cold
Meandering as it goes

Stillness no water flows through
Foliage moved by wind
Fish aren’t darting past
